Schools : Secondary School Faculty and Staff - Keveny Rosier

Keveny Rosier, High School French

My goal is to support the learning and the success of my students. I am on my last semester of getting my Masters in Education, Curriculum and Instruction at Boise State University. I am excited that I will graduate in December. I hold two Bachelor’s degrees. My first one is a Bachelor of Science, Agriculture Sciences at Episcopal University of Haiti since 2005, and my second one is a Bachelor of Arts in Law Science from School of Law and Economics at University of State of Haiti (Université d’Etat d’Haiti) in 2008.

I got my first job as a teacher of Biology and Math in a public high school in 2005 while completeing my first Bachelor of Science degree. Two months after my graduation, I was hired to manage a big project for three years with an Organization international (USAID) while still teaching. Then, I worked for Oxfam Quebec, whose headquarters is in Canada, as a research consultant for three years. I have experienced the earthquake that killed more than 300,000 people, and that was terrible.

I left Haiti to come live with my family in the United States in 2011. I lived in Florida for two years before I got married and moved to Boise with my wife. Now, we have a two-year-old little boy who is amazing. I like eating my hometown foods, travelling around the word, and spending time with my family.
