Karelia Dubkowski

Karelia Dubkowski, High School Art

Karelia Dubkowski received her BFA in Illustration in 2002, and went on to finish her teaching degree and MA in Art Education at Boise State University. Her graduate studies focused on critical approaches to Multicultural Art Pedagogy which led her to Southeast Asia to conduct thesis research on the visual arts and the role they play in understanding the intricacy of cultures.

Karelia spent a year working with the Arts for Young Children program at Anser Charter School, where she introduced students to different cultures through the art forms she encountered through her travels.  Additionally, she has served as an intern with the Boise Art Museum and taught art methods and multicultural courses as an adjunct professor for the Art Education Department at Boise State University.

Her passion for adventure and exploration has led her to travel all over the world.  These experiences have shaped her vision and had a profound influence on the way she approaches teaching.  She is excited to share her knowledge of the arts through a global lens.
