Linda Buczynski (affectionately known as Ms. Bu) has been a passionate arts advocate and instructor for over thirteen years and has been at Sage from the first year! With specialties in visual arts education, inquiry teaching and learning, social justice and community arts facilitation, our students look at the world through various and changing lenses of visual arts and community, from local to multi-cultural perspectives. These backgrounds, in addition to a variety of experiences in diverse classroom teaching environments, continually inspire the development of contemporary curriculum which fosters discovery and independence in the elementary art studio. Students learn to utilize the visual arts as a language to assist them in analyzing, interpreting, and answering the world through self-expression.
Linda has been teaching as an adjunct professor at Boise State University in the Art Education Department since 2007, and has worked actively to become a mentor teacher. She considers it an honor to participate in the arts with a wide range of students and student teachers. Her passion for community can be found around Boise in the off-months of school in various projects supporting visual arts, children, and pre-service teachers from Boise State's Education program.
