Enrollment at Sage


Enrollment for the 2019-20 School Year. Sage International School of Boise is a K-12th grade International Baccalaureate World School . Sage International is a free, public school of choice (charter school). Enrollment at Sage International is offered through an annual enrollment lottery in accordance with Idaho's Charter School Law - Idaho Code 33-5206NOTE: This enrollment application is for 'new-to-Sage' students and families. If your student already attends Sage and is returning next year, or if you will be applying for sibling enrollment, we will provide information and applications for that process soon. 

How to apply for the 2019-20 lottery.  Sage International is currently accepting online enrollment applications for the 2019-20 school year for students entering Kindergarten through 11th grades*. Sage International will accept enrollment applications until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27th, 2019. Complete the Online Enrollment Lottery Application Form provided above to register for the lottery.

* The State of Idaho requires that students are 5 years old by September 1st, 2019 in order to attend Kindergarten (please refer to Idaho Code Statute 33-201) for the 2019-20 school year.

Informational Sessions for Interested Families and Students. Sage International will host informational sessions in January & February 2018 to allow interested students and families to learn more about Sage International and to tour the school facilities.  We recommend all interested families attend at least one session to learn about our school. Dates and times as follows: 

Starting at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 24th & Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 at 431 E. Parkcenter Blvd.  These sessions are for new families interested in enrolling Kindergarten through 11th grade students for the 2019-20 school year. When is the Lottery.  Sage International will hold its 2019-20 enrollment lottery on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 starting at 10:00 am at 431 E. Parkcenter. The lottery is open to the public.

Lottery Process.  The Idaho Legislature established the lottery process for charter school admission through Idaho Code Statute 33-5206. As a brief overview, all applicants are placed into grade-level-specific 'Lottery Priority Groups' as follows and are drawn in order based on these groupings: 

First Priority: Applicants that are children of full-time employees or children of Sage International School.

Second Priority: Applicants that are siblings of students already attending Sage International are grouped..  

Third Priority: Applicants that reside within Sage International's primary area of attendance, which happens to be the same district line as the Boise School District.  

Fourth Priority: Applicants that reside outside Sage International's primary area of attendance.  

When are Lottery Results Posted.  The results will be posted on Sage International School's website by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 1st, 2019.

Offers for Enrollment.  All students that secure placement during the lottery will receive an email from Sage International providing an 'Offer for Enrollment’. Offers of enrollment must be accepted within 48 hrs. If a response is not received within 48 hours, the student’s name will be moved to the bottom of the enrollment or waiting list.  Students that do not secure placement during the lottery will be placed on a waiting list and, if space becomes available, will be contacted at that time.

Waiting List. The results of each annual lottery create and offer of enrollment list and then a waiting list. Waiting lists do not carry from year-to-year and are replaced yearly from the results of the annual enrollment lottery. If you miss the enrollment lottery application period and online waiting list application is available on the Sage International School Website.
