2019 Graduation Information

Dear Seniors & Parents,

It is hard to believe that graduation is almost upon us. We wanted to share some information with you for your planning purposes. 

Graduation - Friday, June 7 at 6 pm at JUMP in the Pioneer Room. JUMP is located at 1000 W. Myrtle Street. The doors will open for graduation at 5 p.m. Seniors will have practice on that day at 1 pm. More information will be given to the seniors as graduation day approaches. 

Admission Tickets - Due to maximum occupancy requirements at the Pioneer Room in JUMP, each graduate will only be issued 8 tickets.  They will be collected at the door upon entrance to the ceremony.  However, we understand that this is not ideal, and are working to set up a lottery system to redistribute tickets. To this end, we are asking all families to complete this google form by Wednesday, May 22th to stipulate how many tickets they will be using, and for those larger families, how many tickets they would ideally need. We can make no guarantees, but we will do our best to redistribute tickets to meet as many requests as possible via a lottery system. Again, we ask all families to complete the form by no later than May 22nd so we can fill the graduation with as many family members and friends of the Class of 2019 as possible. Please only submit one form per graduate. 

Parking - There is parking available at the JUMP Parking Garage on Myrtle Street, between 11th and 9th Streets. Parking validation is not available.

Caps, Gowns, Tassels - Sage International has ordered the caps, gowns and tassels for the graduates. Each graduate will need to purchase their cap, gown and tassel from Sage. The cost is $30 and payment can be dropped off at the Everest front desk . We will need to receive payment by May 30th.

Other Supplies - If you would like to order announcements or any other extra graduation item, you can do so through Jostens. Once the website comes up, you will need to type in Sage International HS; Boise. Click on the Graduation box. We suggest that you scroll down and click on “Browse Grad Products”. This will take you to another page where you can order announcements. They will deliver directly to your home. Please make sure you do not to pick a packet that includes a cap and gown as one has already been ordered for your student.

Graduate Picture Slide Show – At the graduation ceremony, there will be a slide show of each graduate as a baby, a small child and as a senior. If you would like to have your graduate’s pictures in the slide show, please email two pictures – one baby and one elementary – to jennifer.hart@sageinternationalschool.org. The pictures can also be dropped off at the Everest front desk. Please make sure to note who the student is. Photos are due by May 13th. If you would like your photos returned to you, please adhere a sticker with your address.

Family Breakfast - Finally, we are starting a new tradition here at Sage. On Wednesday, June 5th at 8:30 a.m. the DP/CP faculty will be hosting a family breakfast. Each of the graduates will be make a short video to honor the contributions that their families and friends have made in this chapter of their lives, and we will spend the hour together watching the student-made video and sharing a meal. You will receive a separate invitation for this event. We so hope you can join us in this new tradition to honor not only every graduate but the families that have stood behind them, cheering them on all the way!.
