Zach is rocking 12 years of experience of teaching at the secondary school level. His first three years were at Caldwell High, his next five were at Victory Charter High where he played an extensive role in developing the entire English and History curriculum as well as advising several student clubs/organizations. In his fourth year at Sage Zach has held several positions including: several roles across the English and Social Studies Department, Head of the Social Studies Department, and a few leadership roles which most recently has been Dean of Students. Zach earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Northwest Nazarene University.
Zach is a native, born and raised in Southeast Idaho where he grew up to appreciate books, education, the land and people. To work his way through Idaho State University he became a fly-fishing guide spending his days at his ‘office’ on the South Fork of the Snake River. After graduating he chased his red headed lady friend to the ‘big city’ of Boise where he eventually married her. They have successfully kept the ‘ginger population’ growing by having two themselves, a boy and a girl, one of whom is a current “Sager”.
When not saving the world by teaching amazing historical concepts and skills, Zach enjoys spending time with his family. They enjoy the company of friends, drinking mugs of coffee (and tea), bike riding, camping, boating, and fly-fishing. Zach also pretends to firstname.lastname@example.org
